Hi CK Guy - when you post comments on talk pages, please remember to put ~~~~ after your comment, as this expands to your name and the time you left the comment. -- Malvineous 23:47, 9 February 2007 (GMT)

I'm sorry, I thought I was able remember to this automatically, but apparently not. --CK Guy 15:01, 2 March 2008 (GMT)
I think that was an old comment that was flagged as new after I moved your userpage, sorry about that - you've been using that tag fine as far as I can tell! -- Malvineous 22:28, 2 March 2008 (GMT)
Whoops, I didn't even notice how long ago the date was. -- CK Guy 05:49, 4 March 2008 (GMT)

I noticed that you moved my page back to User:CK Guy, and removed the redirect. I had done that partly because I didn't like the appearance of 'User:CK Guy'. I know that on the Uncyclopedia (bear with me, this is not a tangent!) there is some {{title|Blahblahblah}} tag that will change the title of the article. I tried that here, and it didn't work, so I decided to do that redirect thing. The 'title-changing tag' could also be used for articles which have 'illlegal' titles, such as iKeen, which currently has a title of IKeen. -- CK Guy 15:28, 2 March 2008 (GMT)

I thought it was a bit unfair that everyone's userpage was in the User: namespace and yours was the only one that wasn't. We had a discussion about this when the wiki first came about, and it was agreed that we wouldn't make articles for individual users wherever possible, instead directing to their userpage if they have one. The problem with redirecting your userpage makes it inconvenient for admins and other people to check your contributions for example - you'll notice that on User:CK Guy there are links at the bottom left of the page where you can see which articles you've been contributing to, but all those links disappear once you've been directed off your userpage. I saw your test with the title template and I'll have a think about it, but I wouldn't want people to use it to remove the namespace prefix from article titles anyway - it's a bit misleading when the title of the page doesn't actually match the article title. I'm sorry if you don't like it like this, but unless you can come up with some compelling reason why it should change for *everyone*, this is one of those things that you'll have to live with :-) -- Malvineous 22:28, 2 March 2008 (GMT)
Fair enough. -- CK Guy 05:49, 4 March 2008 (GMT)

Moving pages

Hi CK Guy - when you move/rename pages, please make sure you tidy up after the move - this means going back to the original page, and in the sidebar right at the bottom there's a link called "What links here" - in the case of the Keen 5 High Scores page, there are two pages that link there which need to be updated to reflect the new name. Normally the redirects take care of it, but if a page is *already* redirecting there, it'll become a double redirect and these don't work by design - so to keep things clean whenever a page is renamed all the links to it should be updated to the new name as well.

Also renaming pages is usually quite a major change, and wiki-etiquette is that you should discuss the proposed rename first on the talk page, just in case there's a reason why the page is named the way it is (this is why pages like Gems are actually protected to stop people coming along and renaming them without knowing the reason why it is the way it is!) Granted these particular renames were fine, but I just thought I'd mention it for next time :-) -- Malvineous 11:50, 4 March 2008 (GMT)
