New York Tantalus Center is one of the Tantalus Ray levels found in Keen 2. As the name implies, it is aimed at the city of New York, in the USA. The image on the screen is the Statue of Liberty, which is probably the exact point of impact.
This level has two connected areas: a lower, open and bigger area, which leads directly to the Tantalus Control Room; and an upper, corridor area, full of Vorticon Grunts and Guard Robots. Using the Impossible Pogo Trick jump on this level allows you to get to the top, avoiding all the nasty things below.
In the lower area, there are several flaming torches, Scrubs and Candy Bars, leading up to four Vorticon Elite protecting the Ray. This is the first time that Keen encounters a group of Vorticon Elite, and they can be a very difficult obstacle to beat.
