Commander Keen: Marooned on Mars is the first episode in the Commander Keen games. In this episode, aliens from the planet Vorticon VI find out about the eight year-old genius and plan his destruction. While Keen is out exploring the mountains of Mars, the Vorticons steal vital parts of his ship and take them to distant Martian cities! The four parts are the joystick, the car battery, the cacumm cleaner and the eveclear - see Bean-with-Bacon Megarocket for details. Keen must explore the planet, fight the Martians and their robots, find the members of this Vorticon outpost and wrest the parts back from their wicked, clawed hands!

Ending

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
Keen assembles his ship and returns home, only to find the Vorticon Mothership hovering over the Earth, ready to destroy all of Earth's cities and wonders! Keen rushes to beat his parents home, as it's late at night on Earth. He also brings a pet Yorp, Spot to his house, and convinces his mother to talk about keeping it in the morning. But when his parents go to sleep, Keen goes back to his ship, and flies towards the Vorticon Mothership. Keen must sneak aboard, stop the imminent destruction of Earth and find a way to neutralize the Mothership. This is where Keen 2 starts.
