The Grappling Hook allows Keen to climb the large cliff that seperates Fribbulus Xax into two sections.

The grappling hook is hidden at the very top of the First Dome of Darkness. It may be reached via an elevator, and, in Easy mode, by Impossible Pogo-ing at the top platforms. In the Demo version, this level is not available, but the player can still climb the cliff as the item is provided automatically when starting a new game.
