Berkeloid

The Berkeloids are a race of fire creatures found only on the Isle of Fire in Three-Tooth Lake on Gnosticus IV. They have blank white eyes and they're legless, floating about half a foot off of the ground and throwing huge fireballs at all who annoy them. They cannot be stunned.

These creatures are named after Ryan Berke, a fan who wrote id Software.

The Keen 4 help text states:

This fiery fella is not to be toyed with. He throws big fireballs!

Appearance in Keen GBC

The Berkeloid are also found on the Shikadi World in Keen GBC, where they are smaller, brighter and throw smaller fireballs. Keen can kill these Berkeloids with shots from his Neural Ray Blaster.

The Keen GBC manual states:

This fiery fella is not to be toyed with. He throws big fireballs, and is tough to kill.
