Ankh
The Ankh is a mysterious item found in Keen 3. It bestows fifteen seconds of immortality on Keen if he acquires one, however Keen can still die if he falls off a cliff. During this time, Keen is protected by a flashing 'bubble' (much like that bestowed by the hypercube in Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure). The bubble also protects Keen from the Youths' stun.
An Ankh is a composed of cross with a circle atop it. It is golden in color and it is found scattered around Vorticon VI. No explanation is given for its presence or its mode of action; perhaps, like on Earth, it is a religious symbol, or perhaps it is part of some Vorticon defense program.
Ankh power is frozen on the world map, but reset upon level entry.
There are a few levels containing Ankhs:
- West Vortiville (1 Ankh)
- Fort Vorticon (1 Ankh)
- Fort Cavort (1 Ankh)
- Cape Canavorta (3 Ankhs)
